Cyclic Living: The transformation

Modern society often glorifies constant productivity, achievement and non-stop hustle. Progress is seen as a Linear Path. For years I found myself on this linear path and rather successful at it! The fact that I always showed up, tried to put in my 100%, multitasked and overachieved meant that I was successful in the eyes of society. And the linear path upwards seemed never to have an end. My life changed when I started thinking of my own definition of success and embracing the concept of Cyclic Living. 

What is cyclic Living? Ayurvedic lifestyle for balanced life

Cyclic living is rooted in the idea that our lives, just like natural cycles, go through phases of growth, rest, and renewal. Progress is not linear, it’s Cyclic. This paradigm shift has transformed my way of life, leading me to embrace a more balanced, fulfilling and sustainable way of living.


Achieving holistic wellness and Balance

Cyclic living draws inspiration from the cycles found in nature: the changing seasons, the lunar phases, the daily cycle, and the rhythmic rise and fall of tides. By aligning our lives with these natural patterns, we learn from nature and this fosters holistic wellness. It teaches us humility and how everything in nature is interconnected. Through its cycles, nature allows us to come up with our  daily, monthly and seasonal rituals to achieve balance and return to my pursuits with renewed energy and clarity

Breath as a Cycle

Just because you are breathing, does not mean you are breathing correctly. Our breath is also a cycle - a cycle of Inhale and Exhale. Being mindful of this life giving cycle can create tremendous clarity of mind.


Understanding yourself better

One of the most powerful aspects of cyclic living is its recognition of our personal cycles. We are all unique due to the energy that we are made up of. We have times when we feel capable of tackling challenges head-on, as well as moments when we require rest and self-care. By listening to our bodies and minds, we can tailor our activities to align with these cycles.This approach liberates us from the guilt associated with taking breaks or being less productive. It also helps us from burning out through constant drive and passion. We learn that self-care is not selfish, but rather a vital aspect of maintaining overall well-being.


Personally, Cyclic living has not only changed my way of life but also my perspective on success, productivity, and overall well-being. I have learned to appreciate the beauty in both growth and stillness. This approach has empowered me to listen to my body, mind, and intuition, ultimately leading me to a more authentic and fulfilling life journey.
